Sheryl’s legal journey began at prestigious national law firms, including McDermott Will & Emery and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where she gained extensive experience as a Litigation Associate with a later emphasis on environmental law. Sheryl’s dedication to global justice extended beyond U.S. borders, as she took several sabbaticals to provide legal consulting services in Israel and South America, focusing on access to justice and alternative dispute resolution for underserved communities. She has also served as a certified civil mediator in Florida and was appointed as a Special Master for the City of Miami Beach.
For over 30 years, Sheryl has been a formidable advocate in Mass Tort and Class Action litigation, with a particular focus on women’s health cases. She has successfully represented numerous women in high-profile cases, including the long-standing Dow Corning Breast Implant Litigation, where she secured settlements for individuals suffering from Lupus, Scleroderma, and other connective tissue diseases caused by defective implants. Sheryl has also played a key role in Transvaginal Mesh Litigation and is actively involved in cases related to Ovarian Cancer linked to Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder, as well as other harmful birth control products. Her unwavering commitment to justice, particularly in advocating for women affected by defective products, is driven by her belief that “each case has a name, each name has a long story, and I want to be the very strong voice for that story.”
Sheryl’s leadership and advocacy extend beyond the courtroom. She is a dedicated member of many various bar, civic, community, and charity organizations.
